About Us

Now in it's 12 year of operation, the Scarlet Tunic is owned and operated by Margaret Kupusa.

Scarlet Tunic is named after the dress uniform of the R.C.M.P. sometimes known as the "red serge." Both of the suites are named from the history of the R.C.M.P.

Margaret's late husband Tom served 31 years with the R.C.M.P. before retiring from Hamilton, Ontario. When they first moved to Bobcaygeon, Tom operated the B & B until his death 2 years ago.

Margaret, who originally was a Public Health Nurse, has a long work history from teaching nursing to sales. She spent the last 15 years of her career as a Canadian Sales Manager for a manufacturer. She travelled extensively throughout Canada which also gave her the opportunity to "feed" her hobby as an antique collector and dealer.

The home is eclectically decorated with antiques, mostly with their own history of how they were found.
